Happy New Year!

There is a beautiful white world out there, my heart is light, like the feathery flurries falling down from the sky outside my window. 2020 is almost over and it has been a strange year of hard work, and some stressful times. There have been progress, and overall there have been some wonderful moments, with new insights, and new levels of gratitude. I know that my life won’t be the same. I am committed to think even more about our planet when I make choices; when it comes to what kind of energy sources I choose, how I travel, what I eat, and my shopping habits. 2020 have been a life changer, and I know that isn’t exclusive for my family. Seeing both of my children laugh together have been the best part of 2020 for me. I’ve read 116 inspiring books, out of my goal of 70 books (I didn’t know about Covid and the extra time I would have on my hands during my staycation at the time I’d set my goal.) 2020 was also the year I didn’t wear any makeup for a whole year! That is a first during my adult life. 2020 was a year completely without animals, which has been very strange, and also a first. 2020 was an amazing year in my teaching career, I’ve felt that I’ve really made a big difference in some children’s life, and my colleagues have been outstanding to work with.

The two photos are from my morning walk earlier today. The ski jumps that you can see in the background are situated in a recreational area called Lugnet close to my house. It’s a huge area and no less than 57 of the biggest national sports federation are utilising Lugnet for their sports. There are big arenas for ice hockey, swimming (indoor and outdoor the summer,) ski jumping, cross country skiing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, gymnastics, tennis, martial arts and many other sports. I have hundreds of miles of trails to explore there that I have not seen yet. The trails are mostly in forested areas and accessible year round.

I welcome 2021 with open arms. I am ready for a year of health, gratitude, happiness, prosperity, love, and kindness to all.

The fact that my ancestors, on both parents sides, were vikings, doesn’t exactly lessen my desire to explore. Maybe a slightly more mindful exploring, compared to the average viking.   3. Happy New Year! We didn’t have an animal for several years then this year I got a Boston Terrier. I’ve not wore makeup in years & seems nobody cares or even noticed. At the present time, I don’t even own any makeup. I enjoy seeing all the pictures of your area.

  11. Love the beautiful photos & may the New Year be like that ski jump. We’ve been blasted by the down hill slide now the only way is up.
