Can I offer you a steaming hot cup of coffee? It’s a perfectly balanced Christmas blend. It’s strong, with an exciting aftermath of Christmas spice, a hint, not too much, just a little added excitement and promises of good times.

How are things in your corner of the world? What’s the weather like? It’s about 15F here this early morning, it will warm up to around 25F later today. The ground is covered with frost, and a very slight amount of snow. Everything is white, but no massive amounts of snow. It’s very beautiful. We are expecting more snow next week. I brought my camera with me to work one morning (the photos you can see in this post, it was right before the world transformed to a white winter wonderland) knowing I would have some extra time while changing buses in town. I took some pictures, while sipping a thermos of coffee by the canal that runs through our town. A lot of people have started to decorate for Christmas this week. Since we are moving on Tuesday I will do my decorating next weekend. One of my colleagues gave me an early Christmas gift on Friday, two most beautiful Christmas curtains for my kitchen windows.

Something huge happened this week, that at first made me worried beyond sick, and later turned in to the biggest blessing of the year. I’m not ready to share yet, but I’ll tell you that a missing piece of my life have found its way to the right place, not only symbolically spoken. I hope your week and weekend is a great one.

For my friends in the US, I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving! I feel that I have so much to be thankful for this year; family, health, friends, my new place, the close proximity to amazing nature, clean air, and a fulfilling job that I love. What things made it to your top ten things that you are thankful for this year?
Love,
Maria
Now you’ve got me wondering…
Stay warm!

I love your photos! And you have me intrigued!! But like you said I know you will share when the time is right. Sounds like blessings are involved which is always wonderful. I think we are both thankful for many of the same things. My new job is more than I envisioned, so incredibly happy I found it and made this decision! I’ve never felt better, sleeping every night! So awesome!!
Your weather sounds wonderful! A little chilly, but clean fresh air is important. More snow will be fun and beautiful! I hope it won’t make it difficult to move next week. I’m so excited for you and your daughter! ❤️ I enjoyed your Christmas coffee and can’t wait to see your Christmas decorations. I’ll be decorating starting tomorrow and it will take me most of the day! Stay cozy warm! Hugs! 🥰❤️

Sounds like winter has arrived! And short days, too, as I see you commute in the dark. I love the fairy lights on the bridge over the canal, reflected in the water. Lovely idea!
Looking forward to hearing your news. 🙂 Have a great week ahead!

A little colder and darker there… But it still looks pretty. As you know from living here, this is the traditional weekend for the start of Christmas season. Yeah, some places start after Halloween, but most people do it after Thanksgiving. Looking forward to your news! When you mentioned it before, I thought maybe you moved early. From this post, I’m not 100% sure, but I will stick with that guess until proven otherwise 😉 (Guess two has to do with your daughter’s school)
Have a great week!

Quiet Sunday morning, having my coffee and throwing another log on the fire after a chilly and windy night. Nora and I will be making our way to the apartment today to retrieve Christmas decorations, etc. Maybe later prune a few branches off some Blue Spruce and Pine in the yard to make a couple Christmas center pieces. It’s time to get the Christmas Spirit! 🌲
I’m excited to see the Full Lunar Eclipse tonight(after midnight) and the Full Beaver Moon!
I’m glad to hear you and your little pumpkin are finding your niche and happiness. Keep us up to date!

Interestingly Maria, in your opening image I thought the lights were a huge element and then your subsequent photos showed it to be much less immense. A good example of how perspective can change things – in photography as in life! Good luck with your move and looking forward to hearing about your new blessing!

Thank you so much! Perspective is everything. This week I’ve only been taking photos in my head. Do you do that as well? I always do. Especially in busy times, or when I carry too much stuff that I can not bring my camera. I like to always bring my camera, but sometimes its just not possible. I hope you are having an awesome week.

Thank you for the Christmas Blend coffee. It seems this year has been full of things that seem like obstacles that we can reframe to serve us. I hope you and your family are well in the end though, It has been a big week all around for many people.
It has been warmer here than I would like but makes for easy walking as long as I don’t overdress!
Thank you for the chat. I always enjoy our conversations.

I too enjoy our conversations, my apologies for been a little absent these past ten days. It’s been incredibly busy, but starting next weekend things will slow down, and I am having almost three weeks off for Christmas/New Year. Looking forward to that! I hope you new week is great!

Maria, Such pretty lights and reflections. I’m thankful for my good health, family, friends, comfortable home, clean water to drink from the tap, being near nature, access to technology to stay socially connected, having very few needs, having enough to live on, and time to read, write, and enjoy life. It’s less cold and no snow yet where I am. This weekend is sunny with high around 9C (48F). Wishing you a smooth move to your new apartment and looking forward to your updates. Have a great week!

I have to admit that the cold weather and snow are very beautiful. We had a big snowfall of wet snow and the way it sticks to the trees is beautiful. Then the weather warmed up and it all melted. But tonight there is a snow weather warning issued. So tomorrow will be interesting! I am happy to know you have something that is a blessing in your life and will wait to hear more. Have a happy week.

It is beautiful. It sounds like you have the same type of weather as we are enjoying, snow, melt, snow, rain, snow, warm weather..I am hoping for a more consistent cold, lasting the rest of the winter 🙂 Snow is so beautiful. I hope your week is great!
