Weekend Coffee Share

Fall is in full swing here. The colours are amazing. Let’s go for a walk and enjoy our coffee by the lake. How is your week?

It’s been busy here, pretty much like last week, with work and walks in wonderful nature. We took the kids at work to a nearby ski area one day. There isn’t any snow there yet. Our school have a ski profile and we’ve rented the ski slope several days this coming season. I figure the kids will get more out of the experience if they are already familiar with the location. Seeing it with their own eyes will make it more real for them, and something to look forward to as well.

How are you doing? Here is the lake, are you ready for some coffee?

Tomorrow is National Cinnamon Roll Day in Sweden, you bet we are going to bake cinnamon rolls tomorrow 🙂 If you come back you can have one!

I invested in some good hiking boots for my daughter this week. They are waterproof and have extra support for her ankles. I also ordered a couple items for my daughter that Santa is going to deliver for me at Christmas, new snow pants and ice skates. I’m making plans for an active winter with lots of fresh air and outdoor activities.

Thanks for joining me for a little walk and some coffee! Tell me about your week. Any fun plans for the weekend?

Love,

Maria

It’s all about experiences, and the healing power of nature. Life is about choosing happiness. I entered the magic world of photography when I was five years old. My gypsy soul have taken me to many different countries, and definitely taught me to be more humble. I believe that you are what you eat, body and soul. I enjoy growing my own food, and spending time outdoors. Above everything else is my daughter. A Sagittarius loves to travel, have an open mind and, and a philosophical view. It motivates them to wander around the world in search of the meaning of life. Sagittarius is extrovert, optimistic and enthusiastic, and likes changes. A lot of that perfectly describes me. The fact that my ancestors, on both parents sides, were vikings, doesn’t exactly lessen my desire to explore. Maybe a slightly more mindful exploring, compared to the average viking. My blog, and my art prints is a results of my (inner and outer) explorations. Love, Maria

    1. Thank you so much! I love sharing the beauty that surrounds me. It would be selfish to keep it all to myself, right? I can’t wait to have some snow and ice to share 🙂 It made me happy to read about when you made the tiger cake, it looked so delicious. Enjoy your weekend!

  3. Beautiful fall photos! Sounds like you are going to have a fun winter, playing in nature.
Cinnamon rolls sound yummy… maybe I might become Swedish for a day! 😉
The weather has continued mild, but the days are growing incrementally cooler. Today was mid-60s, but the week ahead is going to be cooler with a couple rainy days.
Today we joined my son and his partner on a beautiful hike that I will feature in this year’s Walktober post. I took a ridiculous amount of photos, which I now have to process – thank goodness for digital! 😉
Have a great week ahead! ❤

    1. I am enjoying fall, and equally much looking forward to winter. Winter is so much fun, especially for the kids. It makes me happy to see their joy. We have temperatures in the 40’s most days now. Looking forward to see you hiking photos. Enjoy the rest of your weekend ❤

  4. I love the lake. And the fall colors. What a good idea to go to the ski area now when there is no snow. That is a valuable lesson ,about many things, outside of the classroom. Thanks for the walk, the lake and the coffee!

  5. What a nice walk by the lake, Maria! Really enjoyed that one. Here, today, and at the moment, the sun is shining. Weatherman says storms in a few hours so enjoying the sun while it lasts. Are your schools closed there? Ours opened this past week, and now the covid cases are peaking again. Ugh! We’re still in the “stay home, stay safe” mode here in Northern Kentucky. We’re praying for our nation to be healed.

    1. It’s so good to see you again!
Enjoy the sun while it lasts. I was out this morning, and I’m happy I was, it’s been raining the rest of the day. Perfect weather for baking, which is pretty much what I have been doing today, first bread, and then cinnamon rolls.
The schools here in Sweden have been open the whole time. I’ve been working as usual, if there is anything like “as usual” when it comes to teaching. We try our best to keep social distance, while going about our regular life. Have a great rest of your weekend. ❤

      1. We are fine too. I think we are learning tomorrow about new restrictions being imposed upon us here in the north west of England, with Covid once again on the rise. We are getting quite fed up with it all, but at least we are well.
