My friend Terri asked us to share some plant life from our backyards. The backyard to the house I’m renting isn’t very big, but the front yard is. For this post I choose to share some plant life around my porch.

There is three places to sit down and enjoy the garden around our place. This is one of them.

This Tuesday we had a graduation ceremony for the children at my school. One boy gave me this pretty flower. I think that was sweet. Three other boys gave me a strawberry plant that they’ve planted. You can see the pot behind this one.

Celery growing in a hanging container on the side of the porch.

A pot with bell pepper standing in front of the porch. There is three pots of bell pepper standing next to each other, and tomatoes next to them. (The yellow stuff is pollen. We have a lot of pollen in the air this year.)

Sweet peas growing on the side of the porch.
I don’t have a huge garden this year, but I do enjoy a little bit of gardening. In my head I am making big plans…you just wait and see π Thank you Terri for inspiring us to share gardening photos.
Love,
Maria

Your bench and table look cozy, great for morning tea or coffee, and waking up to the day. It feels good to be surrounded by growing things, particularly flowers and veggies we get to eat – yum! π

Thank you Eliza. I can honestly say that I have not used this bench so much, due to its closeness to the neighbour. The lilacs are very beautiful, but It feels like you are almost in the neighbours lap when you are sitting here. We do use the other two sitting areas more, especially the one on the covered porch, where we often eat one or two meals a day. That one is like an extra room, you can sit there in any weather and enjoy the nature, but still have your privacy. I’ll try to take a good photo of that area, I tried yesterday but I thought the photos looked boring π it’s a cozy spot. Enjoy your new week.

Such beautiful plants and flowers, Maria. You have always had a very green thumb and keep them looking healthy. So sweet the children gave you plants and flowers! The very first photo looks like the 4-leaf pattern of dogwood, is that what it is? It’s purple!! Thanks for sharing your images for Sunday Stills this week!

Thank you Terri π
Yes, the children were so sweet. I will miss them all dearly. It’s an emotional time of the year, spending so much time with them every day answering their curiosity and then not see them.
The purple flower is on a lilac tree. They are bigger than dogwood and the fragrance is very sweet. They are common here, almost everyone have them as they like the climate and thrive easily. Thank you for a great theme this week! I wish you a wonderful new week my friend β€

Oh a lilac tree! Another blogger showed a photo of one, too. I think she lives in Sweden too. I’m glad you enjoyed the theme Maria. Next week is “home” and you might be interested in that one, too π

What a cosy little place to sit, looks like it would be out of the wind on a cold day & beautifully warm in the sunshine. Such thoughtful students, how nice to be appreciated. Your photos are great as always, flowers & vegies just beautiful. Have a wonderful wonderful week.

Thank you so much!! It is a beautiful spot, but honestly we use the other two sitting areas more, as they are further away from the neighbour and more private. I do enjoy being surrounded by all the beauty of nature. Have a wonderful new week. β€
