Welcome to the Weekend Coffee Share, a time for us to take a break out of our lives and enjoy some time catching up with friends (old and new)! Grab a cup of coffee and share with us! What’s been going on in your life? You can add your link here.
Besides the regular coffee I have an assortment of tea to offer you, or classical Swedish blueberry soup (we have lots of blueberries growing in our forests all over the country.) As the cup in the photo promise you; Min Favorit Dryck – My Favourite Beverage. Blueberry soup is often served hot in a mug, or brought in a thermos on your ski adventure. It’s packed with vitamin C and tons of energy straight from nature. I had my daughter try it for the first time today, and it was a hit. I can also offer you my favourite Swedish chocolate to go with your choice of beverage. MMmmmm.
On Wednesday it started to snow here, it snowed all day, and continued to snow all day yesterday. Today the temperature dropped more, and the sun was shining for 6,5 hours. That is how long the day is now. How many hours of daylight do you have? We’ve been using the daylight to the max, taking long walks every day. Between the heat, and the bad air quality in Las Vegas the exercise is good for both of us. There’s also been a lot of snow shovelling this week, something I really enjoy.
My daughter asked me today if we were going to have snow for Christmas, and I told her that I thought so. Her answer to that was that is just going to be SO epic.
I still haven’t found housing closer to my new job, but I am working on it every day. We are very comfortable in my brothers house, but it would be a long commute when I start working full time. Not un-doable, but the days would be long. I hope to avoid that. I’m not worried, there’s still time. How is your week? Any fun plans for the weekend?
We are going to at least one Christmas market this weekend. I want my daughter to experience all the beautiful traditions of my homeland. To be honest, when I lived in Sweden previously I often went to Germany for their incredible Christmas Markets. Maybe we’ll do that next year, no more traveling for a while. Only short day, and weekend trips is what I am in the mood for now. Next week we are going to visit the school my daughter is going to attend. We are both excited about that. She is going to go to a special school that focus on the Swedish language for a few months, and then they slowly integrate her into a regular class on the school of our choice.
Can I get you a refill on your coffee? If we were having coffee I would ask you to pease tell me all about what’s going on in your life right now.
