My friend Trent shares a Weekly Smile every week, and encourage others to do the same. Get the good energy flowing! There’s so many things to be grateful for, small and big things.

My smile this week goes to a short trip to the mountains we did last Sunday. We arrived to Humboldt Toiyabe National Forest (NV,) just before sunset. It felt marvelous to experience some cooler temperatures, and breath some fresh air. It was the first time in 3-4 months that I felt that my lungs actually got all the air they needed. I can’t say how fantastically amazing that was. My heart is overflowing with gratitude.

On the way to the mountains, we passed through a Paiute Indian Reservation. Last week during our homeschooling project about Nevada, we learned about Sarah Winnemucca, a Paiute Princess, so we talked about that while passing through.

What makes you smile this week? Tell me about it!
Love,
Ms Zen

It’s all about experiences, and the healing power of nature. Life is about choosing happiness. I entered the magic world of photography when I was five years old. My gypsy soul have taken me to many different countries, and definitely taught me to be more humble. I believe that you are what you eat, body and soul. I enjoy growing my own food, and spending time outdoors.
A Sagittarius loves to travel, have an open mind and, and a philosophical view. It motivates them to wander around the world in search of the meaning of life. Sagittarius is extrovert, optimistic and enthusiastic, and likes changes. A lot of that perfectly describes me. The fact that my ancestors, on both parents sides, were vikings, doesn’t exactly lessen my desire to explore. Maybe a slightly more mindful exploring, compared to the average viking. My blog, and my art prints is a results of my (inner and outer) explorations.
Love,
Maria

I know that feeling. Being outside, like way outside, and feeling like you can breathe again. Well said. This week just started, but I smiled today when my daughter (4 years old) asked to go play in the garden. No interest for months, now the garden is dying and she’s interested. Oh well, maybe I’ll hook her next year LOL

There is always next year 🙂 Maybe your daughter can plant something that will rest over the winter, and start growing in the spring? Many fruit trees actually benefits from being planted in the fall, and places that sell them often have sales this time of the year. Just a thought 🙂 I love when kids are interested in gardening,. Last year my daughter, 6 at the time, begged me to have her own cornfield. We lived in the countryside then, so she did get her own corn field. She was so proud, and worked so hard! Thank you for your kind comment. Have a great day!

That’s so great she had a little cornfield! We do plant garlic over the winter but not sure that’s a crop she can get excited about. I’ll try though. Oh, and red clover as a ground cover. She might like helping me spread that

Such a beautiful part of the world your photos have taken me to. It is so very different from Ontario and any of the other places I have lived. I had a great weekend taking part with my horse, Biasini, in a clinic with Linda Tellington. She is an icon of horse human relations and now at 82 she is still doing clinics and passing on her knowledge.

Thank you Anne! I know very well who Linda Tellington is 🙂 I’ve read her books, and attended clinic’s by some of her students (not her.) That must of been a wonderful experience, I imagine. I’m going to head over and see if you have a post about it, that I’ve managed to miss. Have a great day!

Thank you Diana! I couldn’t get the image in my mind of us riding horses there out of my head 🙂 We had a wonderful time. It literally got easy to breathe when I got out of the city. I’m planning a camping trip this weekend.. I hope your week is a good one my friend ❤

It was wonderful! Exactly what we needed! With fall coming (we’re not hitting 100 today!) there is going to be more outdoor time, it is so needed. Thank you 🙂

The landscape looks so desolate and then you get the beautiful flowers. Such a contrast.
