A Rainy Day In Las Vegas

IMG_1835

It haven’t rained many days since I moved to Vegas in August last year, but we have been blessed with a few rainy days this past month. I love rain, and I love being out with my camera in the rain. Here’s some of my favorite rain photos from around the city.

I’m getting more comfortable driving in the city now, even though I prefer to not drive on rainy days (in the city.) People here are definitely not used to driving in the rain. Which is kind of totally understandable, since we live in the middle of the desert. LOL.

I’m still counting my latest Canon as my new camera, I’ve had it for 6 months now, but I’m still enjoying learning new things about it. I actually like it more and more every day. Photography never gets old, it still excites me every time I’m out. I’m hoping for more rainy days! Speaking of rain, the upcoming wildflower explosion in the desert is predicted to be something extra spectacular this year. I can’t wait to experience that! Where’s your favorite place to enjoy this seasons weather, and vistas? I hope your new week, and new month, is getting off to an incredible start!

Ms Zen

  1. I enjoy experiencing the wet of February and March, right here in Prescott-where we have a goodly mix of rain and snow. I have been in Las Vegas, during a torrential rain or two, and hope that the drainage on the Strip, and thereabouts, has improved. Las Vegas Boulevard has taken on the trappings of a river, more than once, in my experience.

  2. We are water logged in southern California, one more day of rain predicted for Tuesday. They haven’t been wrong with the weather app I have on my phone. We do need the rain but can’t wait for the break. As a bit of sunshine will dry things out before the next storm. This is a VERY wet year so far! ❤️ Love you photos! 😁

    1. Awe, you’re so sweeet. Thank you! I have not done a lot of night photography. I feel that I’m just starting out. That’s the wonderful thing with photography, always more to learn. Thank you so much for your kind comment. Best of luck to you!

  3. Great photos, MJ! You are so right, people here just don’t know how to drive on wet roads. Every time it starts raining, I hear the sirens going off all around. Good thing it’s not ice and snow!
