Mindful exploring, through the eyes of a viking daughter.
I realize that I haven’t shared one single photo of Las Vegas, even though I’ve lived here for 6 weeks now. Oppps. Here’s a few from tonight. There’s a short, but beautiful hike, in Exploration Peak Park, that lets you see the whole city. It’s about ten minutes from the strip. I’ve done it several times. It only takes a few minutes, even though it is pretty steep uphill.
The last photo is taken on the way home, and show the actual park, where this hike starts. It’s an awesome little park. Some green areas, walkways, a playground, picnic tables, restrooms, and even a small waterpark for the kids. The play ground is awesome. It is big, and has a western theme. Adjacent to the playground is a climbing wall for kids.
I hope you enjoyed the photos. (I can’t say that I am 100% satisfied with my new computer, when it comes to colors, and clarity of the photos. I feel that I can not see the details, as well as I could with my MacBook Pro. Eventually this is going to be my backup computer/my daughter’s.)
I hope you’re having an awesome day!
Love,
Ms Zen
I’ve never heard of this park, very nice! Photo two shows you guys well northwest of the Strip. I never go out at night unless needed, love the glow of the city lights. ❤️

Thank you! The park is worth checking out. I don’t like going out at night either, but I do need to take my dog out after work. Maybe I don’t “need” to, but I like giving her some exercise. and work through our obedience practice every day, it makes such a huge difference. I took the photos around 6.30pm.

Thank you Diana! there’s several parks nearby, and during the weekdays, that is very convenient. In the weekends, I like to get a little more adventurous 🙂
I really enjoyed seeing your photos, and the videos of your granddaughter and your horse on Instagram. Adorable ❤ Thank you for sharing them!

Pretty crazy the amount of development that has happened here in the last 50 years. Building in the desert always strikes me as odd, but humans can and will do just about anything! Glad you have some parks nearby to escape to!

Yes it is pretty odd! I remember thinking it being very crazy the first time I made a road trip through Nevada.

wow its so vast & flat if we travel at night & see town lights in the distance we call it fairy land so that would be like fairy world. It must be of some comfort seeing the mountains if the city becomes overwhelming. Great photos.

Yes, seeing the mountains all around is comforting. I can be in the mountains in 20 min. Just knowing that is comforting. “Fairy Land” my daughter would like that name. I’ll have to tell her 😊 thank you 🙏

I think I prefer Reno to LV, but desert cities have their charm. Nice shots, Maria!
