If you were hoping for beautiful photos of Andalusian Horses, I am very sorry to disappoint you. I’m kind of disappointed myself. I’ll be happy to provide you a cup of delicious coffee. Or, if you’d rather have tea, that is what I’m having today.
I’ve been tired for a couple weeks. Not so strange since the past few months have been pretty intense. I’m now constantly surrounded by a lot of sounds, it is slightly stressful when you’re used to the peace and quiet of the countryside. I’ve also been working 7am-6.30pm Mon-Fri. It’s a lot of hours. Sometimes even more hours. I love my job, but I have been experiencing having less energy than I’m used to, for a couple weeks. Combined with not getting a full 7-8 hours of sleep every night, I feel a difference in my body. For a few days I’ve been a little dizzy on and off. I’m taking it seriously, since it’s not at all the way I usually feel. So I’ve been choosing to rest, instead of looking at, and taking photos of beautiful horses. I’m also drinking ginger tea this morning, eating strawberries, and almonds – all super food when it comes to getting rid of dizziness.
I’m going to do my very best to make sure I get the rest I need from now on. I want to find that balance that creates a sustainable situation. No point in living close to my daughter if I don’t feel good. I’m used to waking up full of energy, and I’m intending to find a way back to that. My daughter and I did have a good time yesterday, building with lego for many hours, and playing in the pool. I can hear that she’s about to wake up now, I’m looking forward to spending this beautiful new day with her. I am very excited about the weather cooling down a little. That makes life more comfortable as well. It’s only going to be 99 today..but soon we’ll hopefully reach 70-80 degrees.
How was your week? Are you experiencing a beautiful fall? I hope your weekend is everything you wish for. I’m looking forward to catching up with the coffee shares later today, and tomorrow. Until then…
Love,
Ms Zen
I hope you feel better soon, it must be a shocker being in a big city now. I was the same way coming here from the woods in Michigan five years ago. Rest and sleep well. ๐๐๐ป๐

Only 99 today… Yes, I know, it’s a dry heat, like being broiled in an oven instead of steamed ๐ I’m glad you are having a good time with your daughter. I hope you feel better and less tired. It sounds like you are taking care of yourself, which is great – you need to ๐ Have a great week ahead!

Ugh Maria, I’ve now known you long enough to know that indeed, this is not normal for you. I have one thought that you might want to try. Once I moved to a place where i worked very long hours in the hot sun and found one day that I felt really weak and tired. The story short cut is that it was salt… I was not getting enough and between work and the heat, I was losing more than I took in because I rarely add salt to my food. It may be an experiment worth trying. I took maybe 1/3 – 1/2 teaspoon of table salt with a big glass of water and was fully restored in about 30 minutes…! It was remarkable how fast it worked. Regardless of what it is for you, I hope you sort it out quickly because life waits for no one. and you have a great one ahead of you. Blessings.

That makes a lot of sense! I purposely don’t add so much salt, if any to the food I eat, and I rarely eat processed food. I’ll see if adding a little more salt will do the trick. Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I really appreciate it.

I would have added the salt comment, if Gary hadn’t. I usually don’t add salt to foods, and I don’t like salty stuff generally, but I have to be careful during hot weather, too. I do hope things are going better as the day(s) pass. And I trust that the time with your daughter has been great, even without horses in it. I like the idea of adding part-time working with horses, once you’ve settled comfortably into your new routine. Best wishes for your week!

Thank you Lizl! I had a great weekend with my daughter, mostly spent by the pool. I have been adding some salt to my diet. I would of not thought about that myself. Thank you ๐

Awe, the heat can be unbearable sometimes and thankful it will be cooling down soon in the fall and winter months. I agree with Gary, that a bit of salt should really help! Hope you feel better soon. I forgot about coffee share weekend! Love sharing coffee with you late. I’ll try and remember for next weekend! โค๏ธ Diana

Glad you are getting your groove back. Being with one’s child is the finest of ways to spend a day. As for me, now until October 8 is going to be a day-to-day slog. I don’t so much mind the physical labour ahead; it’s the constant drama in the background, with grown men and women whining and wanting attention, while I am trying to get work done with my charges, that drives me to distraction.

Thank you. Yes I know what you mean. I love working, but some of the best jobs Iโve had Iโve quit because of drama at the work place. I like peace. I think you can relate.
