Not sure f it’s possible to find cuter models, than these Redtick/Bluetick Coonhound puppies, I had a photo session with yesterday. Located in Anderson (CA.) Will be ready for new homes in about 5 weeks. Females photographed on red, and males on blue. They are all so stinking cute, and so soft. I just wanted to take them all home!

If you’re interested in a puppy, or have questions, let me know in a comment, and I’ll put you in contact with the owner. I only know that they are super friendly, smart, and curious, just like their parents. Both parents on site. Would make awesome family/hunting/ranch dogs.
Love,
Ms Zen

It’s all about experiences, and the healing power of nature. Life is about choosing happiness. I entered the magic world of photography when I was five years old. My gypsy soul have taken me to many different countries, and definitely taught me to be more humble. I believe that you are what you eat, body and soul. I enjoy growing my own food, and spending time outdoors.
A Sagittarius loves to travel, have an open mind and, and a philosophical view. It motivates them to wander around the world in search of the meaning of life. Sagittarius is extrovert, optimistic and enthusiastic, and likes changes. A lot of that perfectly describes me. The fact that my ancestors, on both parents sides, were vikings, doesn’t exactly lessen my desire to explore. Maybe a slightly more mindful exploring, compared to the average viking. My blog, and my art prints is a results of my (inner and outer) explorations.
Love,
Maria

Oh my! The first one looks so much like my little River dog when she was a pup. She was a beagle. I miss her so much

Oh, the sweet smell of puppies 🙂 I’d take one in a minute! I’ve always had a special place in my heart for blue tick hounds. Growing up, the farm up the road had them for hunting (a horrible end to the poor coon). But I know as working dogs, they are compelled by their nose and would be gone the second they got loose. I recall the Joan Baez song, “I had a dog and his name was Blue. Betcha $5 he’s a good dog, too. Here, Old Blue, good dog, you.” 🙂 Always wanted one just to call him Blue!

It’s a lovely scent 🙂 Funny, I’ve always wanted to name a dog Blue, but I never had one. Just haven’t had one that would be right for the name, maybe one day. I really like these puppies mom and dad. They are just awesome dogs, both of them. One interesting thing is that each of the puppies, had at least one marking shaped as a heart. Some had two. I feel that I have enough animals right now, I want to be able to give each of them the time they deserve. Otherwise I would of loved to have one of these puppies. My daughter was offered one.

I’m not showing this to my children! I will be besieged with pleas, and we’re not even in the same country!

LOL, I know! The owner offered my daughter one! Can you imagine ! They are adorable though. I don’t think it’s a great idea to get a puppy as long as you are renting. You never know if it’s going to be a barker, or an escaper, or a digger… My German Shepherd is an easy dog to have. She is 3 now.

I think I told you I grew up with German Shepherds? Beautiful dogs, my favourite. My last one I loved-the golden retriever. Kids were heartbroke when we lost him. They are pining for another . . .
I wrote a post about him that seemed to upset a lot of people. On the school run, a Mum: “Please don’t write anything else about Rydal! I was sobbing!”
“I’m sorry, that wasn’t my intention.”
Then got a message off a FB friend who was on holiday in Portugal: “Andy! I’m crying. My Mum is crying. The waitress has two Labradors and she’s crying!”

I think you did tell me 🙂 I grew up with German Shepherd to. Awesome dogs! Losing a dog is very emotional. I had a wonderful American Bulldog/Pit Bull Cross that I got when my daughter was 11 weeks old. He was born the same day as her! For several reasons I thought that I was going to move back to Sweden a couple years ago. When I took him to the vet to get the necessary shots, she said it wasn’t a good idea, that his respiratory system would not do good on high altitude (during the flight.) I even got second opinion, saying the same. It seemed like the move was inevitable, and I had to find him a good home. I did find home a good home. When the move didn’t happen…well, there was no way they were going to give him back. He was an awesome dog. I’d taught him about 50 different commands, that he did with ease. That was a special dog, my daughter still talks about him.

Well… I don’t blame them. I’m happy he has a great home that loves him so much.

I was wondering are all these pups from the same litter? I confess my ignorance on coonhounds…hubby and I picked out our faves – lucky we’re renters with a ‘no pet’ clause. (me – #11, he – #14)
BTW: I too was raised with German Shepherds…Fraulien was the family favorite – a long hair with the gentlest personality and ready for any adventure! She lived long enough for my eldest to roll over on and play fun games.

Awe ❤ Yes, they are from the same litter, all 9 of them. I don't know very much about coonhounds, other than that they are very sweet to be around, all that I've met. German Shepherds, that's another thing 🙂 I could talk about them all day 🙂 You probably could to, if you were raised with them. Thank you for stopping by Laura.

These puppies are beautiful! The timing is interesting as my husband, kids and I are in the market for another hound (we already have one who is a star). Our current pup is 6, is fantastic with other dogs, has loads of energy and we have a big fenced yard. I would be interested in talking to the person who currently has these pups. We are hoping to adopt in June. Here is my email – taylorels1@gmail.com Thanks!

Purfect timing! My wife and kids have always wanted one of these hound dogs but many of them seem to be located in other different parts of the country of just too far away. We are active parents In our mid thirties who enjoy the outdoors with our kids and dogs. We do not live far from Shasta and would love one of these puppies! My email is jcross661@gmail.com Thanks in advance!

Jeff

What great memories this post brings back. I had an uncle who loved to coon hunt and would come and stay on a little lake near my home town for a week every fall. He would take me coon hunting at night and duck hunting in the day. He always had Bluetick dogs. Such great memories!
