Weathered

This week, show us the effect of time and the elements.

As a child I loved Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytales. About a year ago I found a collection with his most famous fairytales from the beginning of the 1900’s. It was $5 in a local thrift store. I felt like if I had won the lottery. There’s something beautiful with a book like this. It speaks to me. On the inside I found this note, dating back to Easter 1928. Someone got this book as a gift 90 years ago! That person is almost certainly dead by now, but the weathered book is still treasured.
