Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.
– John Muir
Clear Creek Greenway, outside Redding, is one of my favorite places for a day hike here in northern California. Even though the trailheads (multiple) are very easily accessible from the 1-5, and the 299, it’s still wild nature. I just love coming out here, it’s quiet, peaceful, and so beautiful. Hiking is my second feel good instantly pill. Missed the first one? Read about it here. I think the soft curves of Clear Creek, is a suitable entry for this week’s photo challenge at The Daily Post; Rounded. I hope you enjoyed this post. I’m looking forward to see more entries to the weekly photo challenge.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Love,
Ms Zen

It’s all about experiences, and the healing power of nature. Life is about choosing happiness. I entered the magic world of photography when I was five years old. My gypsy soul have taken me to many different countries, and definitely taught me to be more humble. I believe that you are what you eat, body and soul. I enjoy growing my own food, and spending time outdoors.
A Sagittarius loves to travel, have an open mind and, and a philosophical view. It motivates them to wander around the world in search of the meaning of life. Sagittarius is extrovert, optimistic and enthusiastic, and likes changes. A lot of that perfectly describes me. The fact that my ancestors, on both parents sides, were vikings, doesn’t exactly lessen my desire to explore. Maybe a slightly more mindful exploring, compared to the average viking. My blog, and my art prints is a results of my (inner and outer) explorations.
Love,
Maria

Looks like a lovely place to hike and enjoy nature. Everything slows down when you are outside enjoying time in ‘wild’ nature where nothing is perfect and yet it is.

I tend to drive through Redding, rather than stop – now I will have to make it a destination. That looks lovely and peaceful!

I can’t say that I like Redding as a town very much, but I love the surrounding nature. Hiking trails, waterfalls, volcanoes..there’s everything 🙂 Thank you for your comment!

How beautifully serene, Maria. Were you affected by the fires? Such sadness.

Thank you! Not directly. I don’t know if you remember that we had a place in Napa when my daughter was an infant? That place burned down, but it’s not ours anymore. Were you personally affected by the fires? I pray for those who were. Some of the fires were so unexpected. I hope you’re good, and ready for the new week.

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that. Many sad stories of loss and fear. We were fine- just plagued with heavy smoke in the city.
